Nykaa Naturals Pure Essential Oil - Ylang Ylang and Lavender | Product Review

Essential Oils play a  key role in my skin and hair care regime .. Some of the essentials oils have helped me to get through worst acne phases and some have helped me in calming down during anxious phases.

I have been using essential oils since a long time now and it is not surprising that I have used them from different brands as well.

Today i will reviewing Nykaa Naturals Pure Essential Oil in Ylang Ylang and Lavender variants

How to use product

Lavender Oil

• Add a few drops of Lavender essential oil to your pillows, bedding, or bottoms of feet at bedtime for a relaxing sleep.
• Mix 1 or 2 drops of Lavender essential oil with Coconut Oil to soothe occasional skin irritations.
• Freshen your linen closet, mattress, car, or the air by combining Lavender essential oil with water in a spray bottle.
• Add 3 to 4 drops of Lavender essential oil in the diffuser of your choice to create a calming environment.

Ylang Ylang Oil

• Put Nykaa Ylang Ylang essential oil into an Epsom Salt bath for relaxation.
• Refresh your skin with an aromatherapy steam facial using Ylang Ylang essential oil.
• Mix 2-3 drops of Nykaa Ylang Ylang essential oil with suitable carrier oil and dab it on your wrists for a sweet, floral fragrance.
• Add 2-3 drops of Nykaa Ylang Ylang essential oil to Coconut Oil for a deep hair conditioner.

Packaging :

• It comes in a blue hue transparent glass bottle with a dropper cap to dispense the product.According to me this is the most efficient packaging as this gives me the control to dispense exact amount of drop needed as essential oils are very strong and concentrated 
• The glass bottle has a sticker with all relevant details about the product imprinted on it.
• It does not list the key ingredients as it claims to be 100% pure essential oil.
• The bottle is delicate and I am not sure if it is travel friendly as the glass bottle could break anytime if mishandled.
• Smells very strong of ylang ylang(floral) / lavender 

My Take on this ..! 

I have been using essential oils for quite sometime now and have experimented from various brands so I can say for sure that this is one of the best essential oils available in the market.I liked the packaging , it looks royal and luxurious.The dropper gives precision and control over how many drops of oil you want to dispense.As we all know that essential oils are really concentrated so having a dropper system is something that's thoughtful packaging.

The quality of both the essential oils is more than good.I have been using lavender oil for my morning and night skin care routine and have seen the pimples reducing and it calms me down resulting in a good night sleep.I mix this in my night cream and apply on my face . I also add few drops while taking steam which helps to clear the acne further.

Ylang Ylang I use for my hair .I made a mixture of coconut oil and almond oil with few drops (approx 10 drops) of ylang ylang oil and started using this as my hair oil.It has definitely brought some improvement in the way my hair feels.Also I am a sucker for floral fragrances so I use this as perfumed oil too.I apply one drop on my wrist and that does the trick of smelling good all day long :) 

I would want to add on .. that both the essential oils are rather strong so if you are someone with sensitive skin , please use a carrier oil /cream as a base for using this.Please do not put this oil directly on your skin.

What Did I like about this product ?:

• Packaging is efficient and luxurious.
• Affordable.
• Can be used for multiple purposes like skin , hair and as aroma therapy
• Variants available.
• Small quantity goes a long way

What did I dislike about this product:

I don't think I have anything to criticise for these oils , the quality is good , packaging is luxurious and serves the purpose for which I got them.All in all I am really enjoying using these and I will probably purchase all other variants too.
