Today's blog is going to about Dove's Advanced Hair Series - Regenerate Nourishment Shampoo and Conditioner .. phew..quite a heavy name isn't it :P .. 
I have always had mixed opinions about Dove because some products like their soaps and hair care products worked really well for me .. whereas there face wash did not suit me at all .. so I was a little skeptical when I saw these in my local grocery store .. However I have to admit that the dramatic ombre packaging caught my eye and I was bent to buy these and give them a try.

Packaging :

I think you guys must have already guessed by now that I basically got this because of its packaging :P .. But no I also checked the contents and checked if it matched my hair type and then I got this.

• Packaging is nothing like the boring typical dove packaging .. it has a pop of color .. obviously red as the main content is the red algae.. 
• Both the shampoo and conditioner come in a tube packaging with shampoo having a nice ombre red towards its cap..and conditioner comes with a white tube with red cap.
• The nozzle dispenses the right amount of product and it is very convenient to use.
• Both are travel friendly ..I did take these while I was travelling for a week & it was all hassle free.
• Also I felt it was worth mentioning that the cap is broad enough to make the tube sit straight and it doesn't topple.

Texture :
The Shampoo is white colored gel &  creamy sorts .. It lathers really really well and it is so convenient to spread all over hair and scalp.It also easy to rinse it off.Conditioner is white and creamy and rich and the consistency is neither too thick not too runny ...

Fragrance:
The fragrance is very fresh and nice ..And it lingers for around almost 2 days  which is hard to believe unless you experience it yourself...Let me share a small observation...I came back from workout and was obviously sweaty and I felt that I needed a quick hair wash but I observed that my hair still smelled of the dove shampoo & conditioner which was really commendable....So ya the fragrance does last really really long.

My Take on this ..! 

I must say I am quite impressed with the way this shampoo and conditioner has worked on my hair .. My hair is dry and frizzy and unmanageable dense tight curls which are tangle prone and very hard to maintain.They are a sucker for moisture and believe me I usually have to use a deep conditioner along with a normal conditioner to get softer and manageable hair.. And still my curls manage to become dry and frizzy by second day of shampoo..Sob Sob :( 

SO... using these have made my life a tad bit easier ..the shampoo does strip off extra oil and dirt , gunk from my hair & scalp  definitely seem cleaner.I usually use hair oil before shampooing and this shampoo successfully cleans my hair and removes that excess oil. .. The conditioner is quite nourishing and helps to gain the moisture back to my hair.

I also tried the combo without putting hair oil prior to shampooing .. Just to see if it makes my hair extra dry .. and to some extend Yes it did make my hair a little drying.. so I do recommend to use hair oil prior to using this combo.. I used it for over a month now and it is almost finished and I see slight improvement in the quality of my hair overall .. may be using this on regular basis might just help to improve them further ! 

The fragrance , like I mentioned is really nice fresh and long lasting .. I really like products that have lasting fragrances as I am someone who is a sucker for strong fragrances .. this one however is not strong ..it is mild but yet it manages to linger for a long time ..

What Did I like about this product ?:

1. I liked the way it made improvement in my hair.
2. I like the fragrance & the long lasting capabilities.
3. Impressive packaging & travel friendly.
4. Value for money.
5. Quite a lot of product for the price you pay.

What did I dislike about this product:

Can't really think of anything as such.. But if I have to criticize over something then I would probably say that for sensitive noses the fragrance might be overwhelming and it could get a little drying if you don't prefer using hair oils prior to hair wash.

Today I am going to review my second best perfume from my perfume collection .. I am a sucker for strong fragrances and have a huge collection .. Ajmal being my best one ... Remi Marquis is the second best currently ..till I explore More :P .. 

It's the MARQUIS Pour Femme de Remi MarquisEau De Parfum .. Now in case you are little confused with the difference between Parfum , Perfume & EDT ..then let me give you a crash course.. The differences among these are the amount of essential oils in the fragrance.The most potent type of fragrance that you can buy is the straight Perfume. Next would be Eau de Parfum, then Eau de Toilette, and finally Eau de Cologne. The higher the percentage of essential oils the longer your fragrance will last, and the less you need to apply.
Remi Marquis is Eau De Parfum (EDP)..It is lighter than Perfume, with an 8-15% concentration, but still has long lasting characteristics, from 3 to 5 hours. It is less expensive than pure perfume...

• Packaging is so royal , gimmicky and elegant at the same time .. The EDP comes in a beautiful triangular sort of shaped glass bottle with a matte finished plastic cap and a lovely tassel hanging .. I am obsessed with tassels so.. extra happy with the packaging.
• It comes housed in a Red cardboard box with with beautiful golden details about the product .. It looks so ravishing and giftable .. It's packaging is just so royal that it makes a perfect gift for your girl .. 
• The spray is golden and add to the royal touch ..however the spray nozzle is a little flimsy at times.

Fragrance:

Now coming to the real thing .. How is the fragrance .. Well It has rare formulation of musky, floral, fresh and woody accords.The fragrance features white flowers, sandalwood, patchouli, oriental notes, green notes and citruses. .. The fragrance is basically Fruity Floral .. yet a little woody musky .. It's my absolute favourite .. It is quiet strong and noticeable too.

My Take on this ..! 

Like I mentioned before  this is my second best perfume to Ajmal .. I really like the floral fruity notes with a mix of woody musky fragrance.It is long lasting and stays for around 3-4 hours as is expected from a EDP .. The fragrance is rather strong so it might bother sensitive noses.. I prefer wearing this on daily basis as office wear .It has a woody color to it due to its ingredients however the color doesn't transfer on clothes... The packaging is so royal that it makes a perfect gift for a woman .. Overall I enjoy using this a lot .. !!

I found different prices for this one on different sites so sharing all links for purchasing it.Originally it is priced at around INR 1699/-

What Did I like about this product ?:

1. Mesmerizing and Noticeable fragrance.
2. Long lasting .. stays for around 4 hours.
3. Good for everyday basis.
4. It's packaging is so royal , it makes a perfect gift for your girl !

What did I dislike about this product:

1. The bottle is heavy and I don't prefer carrying it around during travelling ..so not so travel friendly.
2. The spray nozzle is a little flimsy .. sometimes it gets stuck ..may be it was the case with my bottle .. but Whatever .. Its worth mentioning cause that did irritate me a tad bit.

Recommended to use ?? 

Yes .. Recommended if you prefer fruity and floral fragrances.. And good for everyday use.

I am always in hunt for products that are a little budget friendly and could be used on daily basis .. so I went to grocery store and found a stash of so many new products by Lever Ayush Therapy .. they seemed inclined towards natural /organic products so I thought to give it a try ..I bought Ayush Anti Marks Turmeric Face Cream .. It could be either a hit or a miss .. so I went ahead & I got this ..

Packaging :

• Packaging is rather basic..It is a simple tube housed in a yellow cardboard box with all the details imprinted on all sides about the product.
• The tube itself has yellow , orangish color scheme with all details and instructions printed on it.
• Tube looks very simple and the color scheme clearly shows the hint of ingredients in it ...turmeric (yellow/Orange) and herbs imprinted on it.
• Texture of the cream is like creamy -powdery sorts .. If you have used vico turmeric at any point of time in your life you could relate to this.. So texture is creamy yet powdery.. 

My Take on this ..! 

I have used this cream for 3 weeks now ..I mostly had layered it on my usual face moisturizer .. This claims to have turmeric and kumkumdi tailam which are both well known for Curing marks, lighten skin colour and improve skin's quality for spot-less fair skin.

What I noticed is that when I use this ..it gives an instant brightness just like any other fairness cream would give , but I didn't see any significant change in my marks or spots .. maybe it's too early to say but considering 3 weeks I thought there should be some minor difference.So if you ask me does it work as an anti-mark skin .. I would probably say "No" .. But if you ask me if this works as an instant brightening fairness cream .. I would rather say "yes" ..

I don't mind using this as a regular face cream because it has a good texture , doesn't make my skin dry , it gives instant brightness , I don't feel the need to apply foundation or anything if i use this as my face starts looking fresh instantly ..But... you can't layer it as it starts flaking out .. so apply it once and forget about the whole layering thing .. Set it with a face powder and you are good to go.. 

I also feel that may be it should be used with Ayush face wash and anti pimple cream for an overall result .. so it might be dependent on that .. only the anti-mark cream didn't work on me ..

What Did I like about this product ?:

1. Instant brightness.
2. Doesn't dry out my skin
3. I am a sucker for strong fragrances , this one has overwhelming fragrance so I like that.
4. Inexpensive for everyday use.
5. It did not breakout my skin.

What did I dislike about this product:

1. You cannot layer this cream , if you try it just starts flaking out.
2. For some , it's fragrance could be overwhelming.
3. It did not reduce my spots or marks 
4. Ingredients have some parabens , patch test may be needed for sensitive skin folks.

Recommended to use ?? 

I am not sure , depends if you like it as an everyday use cream and inexpensive one then go ahead.i would probably not repurchase this one.

Hyderabad has already started getting so hot and summers are already on their way .. My skin has shown obvious reactions to the changing weather by blissfully breaking out.. I have always been a huge fan of the tea tree products for such skin situations but this time I thought I will go with the products with green tea extracts & got myself  Plum Skin Care Kit For Oily & Acne Prone Skin .It looked very promising and I had heard some great reviews about it from my favorite bloggers..so I ordered the entire kit .. 

Also I really wanted to keep it one brand kit sorts , so that my CTM (Cleanser + Toner + Moisturiser) all are from same brand and their formula is similar and all of those work combined on my skin to be more effective and to give me a better end result ..

• The kit entire kit has a color scheme of white and green with leafy patterns on the products.I really get a fresh feel when I look at these as a whole .. 
• Each product comes housed in a white and green leafy patterned cardboard box , with all the details mentioned on the cardboard box as well as on the products themselves.
• All products have a matte finished plastic bottles , except for the clay mask that comes in a glass tumbler ,  which look so classy and simple.
• The packaging is very sturdy and travel friendly as well.
• Decent , simple yet classy is what explains the packaging best for these products.
• All of them have mild fragrance , which does not linger for a long time.

My Take on this ..! 

I have been breaking out so much recently and this combo kit came as a sigh of relief for me .. Trust me this thing works ... It's been 2 weeks that I have been using this and my acne has dried and my skin looks much better than it was previously.redness and inflammation has reduced by 60% ..trust me that's a big statistics as my skin is really reactive to changes and breaks out too much .. 

I kept a very simple and basic skin routine .. I kept my morning and night routine same ..

1. Used the face wash to cleanse my face .. It lathers really well and removes all the gunk and grime from my face.It has small exfoliating beads that help to exfoliate the skin gently.It is a bit drying.

2. Use toner to maintain the ph level of my face & it removes any leftover gunk from my face.It does sting a lot .. like for 1-2 minutes I could feel my face tingling.

3. As the toner dries out, I use the moisturiser to return back the moisture to my face that was stripped off in the process.It gives a matte finish so I really don't need anything else .. I simply apply some setting powder & I am good to go.

One additional step that I included in my night routine was FabIndia Vitamin E de-pigmentation cream ..i really wished plum had the spot treatment or blemish solver as a part of this kit.

What Did I like about this product ?:

1. Plum products are always free of parabens, phthalates, propylene glycol, SLS, DEA and PABA.
2. It is rich in Green tea extracts.
3. Glycolic acid helps weed out dead cells.
4. The whole combo works really well if used religiously.
5. Travel Friendly.

What did I dislike about this product:

1. The combo does not have anything fro blemishes or spot removal , which is one of the important part of scar removing process after acne .. so that did turn me off a little.
2. Almost all the products tingles ..so people with sensitive might need a patch test before using.

Recommended to use ?? 

Yes , I would highly recommend all of you if you have oily & acne prone skin.
