You guys must be aware of my recent Nykaa haul .. from which I bought latest launch by Lakme 9 to5 of Weightless Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek Color  .. I am so into matte lip colors these days that the moment I saw this one I knew I wanted to get my hands on it .. 

There are 10 beautiful shades in this series , out of which I got these 4 shades ... Cocoa soft , Plum Feather , Burgundy Lush and Rose touch ..All shades are so pretty and office wearable as well as great to wear for some events where you want to go for NO Touch Ups !!

Well ... Lakme has been like my goto brand .. Whenever I am confused as to what to buy which brand to pick and by default it boils down to lakme products .. the quality speaks oceans .. the products are very reliable and they work perfectly on my skin .. I absolutely love purchasing lakme products .. 

Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip &Cheek Color 

Coming to lakme 9to5 weightless matte mousse Lip & Cheek color .. a very "Complicated" name could be explained .. in simpler words. .. :)...it's a matte lip & Cheek color.. which has mousse like consistency and can be used as a lip color as well as as a blush . So it has a dual purpose and it is quiet long lasting and gives a very beautiful matte finish...


Packaging:

Packaging 

• It comes in a typical lakme 9to5 beige tube with rose gold cap enclosed in a rose gold cardboard box with all product details mentioned.
• The lip color detail is mentioned on a small round sticker at the bottom of the tube.

Shade Details

• It comes with a foam based doe foot applicator which helps to apply the lip color perfectly.

• I have dropped these several times .. and they did not break so I can say with confidence that the packaging is quite sturdy and travel friendly .. they fit in perfectly in my purse and sling bag as well.
• I am quiet impressed with the foam based doe foot applicator as it makes it so easy to swipe the product on my lips.
• The only criticism with the packaging is that the tube is completely opaque , the lip color is not visible at all unless you try to find the shade by reading the little sticker at the bottom of the tube .. which is super inconvenient if you are carrying more than one shade in your purse.. which is usually my case !

Texture:

• Mousse like texture , very soft and thick.
• As the name mentions , it is weightless, and yes it does feel very light on my lips.
• The doe foot applicator has enough product to make 2 swipes comfortably without dipping in the tube for more product.
• Glides perfectly.
• The application becomes simple as it is very creamy and layering the product is easy before the lipstick settles as soft matte.. 
• It has a cocoa sort of fragrance to it , which fades off in like 10 mins.

Swatches : 

Lip Swatches from Left to Right Shades are : Plum Feather , Burgundy Lush , Cocoa Soft and Rose Touch.

Color Swatches 

• Plum Feather : Pink with red undertones .. This one is My favourite shade from this series.It is perfect for office wear & outdoors .. will suit all indian skin tones.
• Burgundy Lush : Burgundy color with brown undertones , Idealistic to wear with traditional / wedding season..will suit all indian skin tones.
• Cocoa Soft : Brown color with red undertones .. idealistic for dusky/darker skin tones.
• Rose Touch : Light Pink with blue undertones .. This one is nude shade for me .. It goes perfectly with smoky eye makeup look ..Will suit lighter / wheatish skin tones.

My Take on this ..! 

Well I bought these as a part of my Nykaa sale haul .. I initially ordered the shades Rose touch and Plum feather and the moment I wore them I was very impressed with the quality and the creamy texture on my lips , it glided effortlessly and the doe foot applicator was just up to the mark .. It settled for a soft matte in like 5 minutes and then it settled being a complete matte in no time... 

Plum feather felt a little drying as compared to Rose touch .. may be it varies from shade to shade , so I wore a lip balm before using these.. 

The shades were very decent and office wearable and so I decided to order 2 more .. Cocoa soft and Burgundy lush .. loved both .. but still plum feather and rose touch were my top 2 .. The fragrance is slightly sweet cocoa-ish which fades off with time .The color payoff is amazing .. just 2 swipes are enough for a beautiful opaque color.. It lasts for around 7-8 hours for me .. it even survives lunch .. unless I don't eat anything too oily .. 

Alternatively , I did try to use it as a blush and I felt that only lighter shades worked better , Rose touch worked best in my case and other shades went a little patchy and overboard.. 
I also felt that while I was trying to use these as blush I really had to work on my cheeks really quick considering that these are matte and they have a tendency to dry quickly.. 

All and all I felt that my search for perfect matte lipstick is over as I felt these to be very comforting on my lips and not as drying as other matte lipsticks I've used so far .. So a huge shout out to lakme for that .. 

That's the beauty of Lakme products .. they never tend to fail me .. !

What Did I like about this product ?:

• Mousse textured light weight lip color
• Good color payoff , 2 swipes are enough for an opaque application.
• Dual use on lip and cheek
• Matte lip color
• Stays long and very less touch ups needed.
• Ultra matte
• Available in a variety of shades
• Affordable.

What did I dislike about this product:

As mentioned earlier the only criticism is the tube is opaque and it is difficult to find the shade details.

Recommended to use ?? 

Yes , I have been using this since a month and I felt it was totally worth the price.It stays long and I dont have to bother about the touch ups.Plum Feather and Rose touch being my favourites.

Welcome back .. Hope you guys are doing well .. 

Today I felt that I was very emotionally attached to one of my favorite perfumes which was gifted to me by my dearest friend .. and I was a little nostalgic .. so I thought I would go ahead with reviewing this one .. its my all time go-to perfume .. Be it any event big or small .. if I feel I want to smell good for almost 6 hours or so .. this is the one that I would pick blindly for all special occasions.. 

The fragrance is quiet strong .. feminine.. long lasting and absolutely noticeable and helps me to stand out from the crowd in parties and events .. So .. Won't make you guys more curious .. and let's get started with reviewing of AJMAL YOUNIQUE Eau De Parfum

Which Brand is it ?? : 

Ajmal is a Dubei based in-house brand that was founded by late Haji Ajmal in the early 1950's .. A brand with a rich heritage acquired through over 64 years of experience and know-how in the art of perfumery, Ajmal Perfumes has carved a niche for itself in the fragrance industry world wide...

My Experience with Ajmal Younique !

I first noticed this brand ..when I visited my local mall and found this little corner shop (like a stall) where all these pretty attar /ittar (perfume oil) bottles were kept .. Now me being sucker for fragrances hopped on to find more about these .. and was introduced to a new world of traditional fragrances All the bottles are so freaking attractive that you cannot resist from getting them .. Even if you are not such a fond of fragrances you may want to buy these as they are irresistibly attractive to look at..and can be used as room decor items too..So .. coming to the "Ajmal Younique" fragrance ..It is absolutely amazing and to die for ....As the product description says it all .. that it is a very spicy floral ... fruity fragrance .. that's typically how I like my perfumes to be .. It is dramatically long lasting .. and it is quiet a strong perfume .. I usually prefer using it for special occasions .. in fact I only prefer using this one for any special occasions..

Packaging is very beautiful indeed.. It comes enclosed in a cardboard box with floral sea green & golden geometrical prints on it .. Inside is a small glass bottle with same pattern as the outside case imprinted on it.. which gives it a royal touch .. 

The Color of the perfume is woody (brown-ish) .. but on application it doesn't spoil the clothes.. It is an absolute stunner !!

The fragrance .. is Spicy floral , fruity , woody .. I find it very intense and traditional sorts .. like a mix of something traditional with a hint of present gen fragrance .. 

The spray mechanism is embedded in the cap itself and there is no hustle to remove the cap and then use the spray .. so this makes it travel friendly as well ..as the cap doesn't detach.. 

The fragrance lingers for good 6-7 hours without a retouch needed..In fact it even lingers after I wash my clothes .. :) .. So it is definitely not meant for sensitive noses.. I will highly recommend this for people who are stronger fragrance lovers & want to stand out in a crowd.. as according to it's name ..Be "YouNique"

Ingredients are mentioned on the box .. which is very difficult to read as well .. And I coudn't really find about it online too .. I guess since it's an in-house fragrance manufacturer they might refrain from sharing the actual formula .. However this is what is mentioned on the package ..

What Did I like about this product ?:

• It smells amazing,floral,fruity ..the kind I like the most.. 
• Excellent for occasional/party wear. 
• Packaging is Beautiful and Royal.
• One of the most Noteceable and long-lasting fragrance.
• Value for money
• Travel friendly as the cap doesn't detach.

What did I dislike about this product:

Actually for me ..There is nothing to dislike about this one...I absolutely rave about this one .. But for some it may be on the pricier side.

Recommended to use ?? 

Yes , If you want to smell Unique ... Just like me ! .. And I will try to get my hands on few other variants too ..when my budget permits :)

Rating would be : 10/5 .. I am not kidding .. !! :)

Enchanteur Body Mist for Women Charming,Romantic,Enticing and Alluring - Product Review

Body mists are one of the most widely used products and I generally tend to try different brands and experiment with them a lot .. Today I am going to review ..Enchanteur Body Mist in Charming , Alluring , Romantic and Enticing Variants.. 

Now those of you who are wondering about what a body mist is .. or why / how is it different from a perfume .. so a short summary .. A body mist is basically very mild.. it is NOT concentrated at all, in fact, the scent is usually diluted by having a water base just enough so that it'll stick to your skin for a little while but you'll have to keep reapplying.Also the content of essential oil in it is very tiny as compared to the perfume.. To add to the details ..Essential oil is the main ingredient responsible for the fragrance in perfume.. Body mist have a higher content of alcohol which means that the body mist will evaporate faster and so will the fragrance.. 

Phew.. that was quite a detail.. !! Now let's get started with the review.. !!

How does it Look and smell like ?:

Ok.. I have to admit . but overall their packaging is beautiful.. It comes in a off-white pearl finished bottle with a spray nozzle and a cap.. with beautiful roses on the body mist according to the variants mentioned.. Indicates the delicate fragrances of roses.. It's packaging is really attractive & can easily pull any girl towards it when it is seen in the stores or displayed in online shopping.. 


There is a simple spray mechanism to dispense the body mist .. the cap however keeps falling off my hands .. can't blame the product for it ..may be i handle with carelessness. . but that irritates me a bit .. 

Fragrance:

• All the variants have unique and distinct fragrance and is decent lasting.It lingers for around 3 hours , as mentioned earlier its a body mist and not edt so the lasting power is less.
• All the variants are for everyday use and suitable to be worn in office..The order in terms of stronger fragrance according to me is Charming > Alluring >> Enticing >> Romantic.. 
• Out of all the variants , Alluring is my favourite as I prefer strong , sweet , floral and fruity fragrances.. so Alluring suits my choice the best .. I really feel it is very unique and I feel very comfortable wearing it all day long.
• Romantic Variant has notes of Bulgarian Roses, White Jasmine, Mandarin and Violet ... Enticing has the essence of Magnolia, Rose, Freesia and Bergamot... Charming has mix of Rose and Muguet with a pinch of Citrus & Alluring has Passion Fruit Flower with a bouquet of Rose and Iris.

 My take on this :

I have been rotating between 4 variants since like 2 months now . . so I cannot guess one bottle would last for how many days.. :).. but seeing the size of it I am guessing it will last for a month .. again depending on the usage.. I use around 4-5 sprays to get a decent lasting fragrance .. and I carry it in my office bag for re-application as it is expected to fade in few hours .. Alluring has been my favourite .. I will probably repurchase that variant .. The fragrances are all very floral and do not irritate me when I apply them on my skin .. Also they are mild so they are good for sensitive noses as well :)

As we bid goodbye to 2016 , I decided to say goodbye to some of my silly habits.. I am sure all of you must be thriving to improve .. and I hope each one you find a better you in 2017 .. :) 


Having said this .. let's get into my first review of 2017 .. My addiction with The BodyShop continues to grow with time ... If you guys have read my previous blogs you would be aware that I have been toggling between British rose shower gel and HoneyMania Shower gel ..

Today I am going to review The BodyShop Honeymania Shower gel .. So .. without further ado let's jump right into the review.. 

Which Brand is it ?? :

The Body Shop has never tested any of its ingredients or products on animals and never will. Their product quality is world famous and very pure and organic.

How does it Look and smell like ?:

• It's Packaging is rather simple and mess free .. The entire HoneyMania range comes in a Honey and Golden (Current packaging has black cap).
• The Shower gel comes in a sturdy see through plastic bottle with a Golden mess free flip cap , the honey colored shower gel can be seen through the bottle.It has a very beautiful honeycomb imprinted on a label and product details mentioned too behind.
• Dispensing the product is so convenient with a small nozzle on top , which is covered by the flip cap.
• Consistency is neither too thick nor too thin and it's texture is Gel like.
• A small amount of shower gel is enough for the entire body as it lathers well.So one bottle will last for 2-3 months.
• It never leaves my skin dry , so I can very well use it during Winter season , so my current obsession is with this shower gel.
• Fragrance is floral , pleasant and mild , Not exactly of honey.. which I was expecting but later read in it's product description that it has floral fragrance , but that wasnt disappointing either , cos it smells amazing .. 
• The fragrance is not long lasting , idealistic for sensitive noses...But the fragrance is so sweet that it keeps me in the shower for a longer time :) .. I basically have started enjoying my bath after indulging myself in this shower gel.
• It is sturdy and travel friendly.

There are several other shower gels available in TBS which would cater to all skin types.You will never be bored as you will enjoy a wide range of products to try out.Buy a couple of shower gels and keep switching :) 

 How I like to use this :

Shower Gels are most convenient to use .. And they bring out the best bathing experience .

I mostly  prefer using a loofah when I am using shower gel as it makes lathering easier.However this shower gel has been an exception..It just lathers by simply rubbing the product on wet hands .. So basically I would take some amount of shower gel on my wet palms .. rub it to generate lather and apply throughout .. and wash it away under the shower .. Sometimes use loofah instead.. It cleanses the body well and is non-drying , so overall it is a pleasant experience.

What Did I like about this product ?:

• I am in love with the texture and quality of this gel.
• Packaging is cute , sturdy and travel friendly.
• It leaves my skin soft and does not rip off the moisture.
• Fragrance is mild,floral ,pleasant and helps in relaxing.
• Ingredients are more natural and organic.
• Less Quantity needed , so 250 ml is sufficient to last for 2-3 months.
• Several other variants are available almost for all skin types
• Good for everyday use .. Especially because it does not dry the skin.

What did I dislike about this product:

Little pricey , but again .. For the experience and quality you get I feel it's an investment for a better skin routine. No other dislikes as such .

Recommended to use ?? 

Yes , yes Yes !! 

I certainly recommend it to use , in fact I already bought other variants as I am so impressed with the quality of the product.I am currently toggling between HoneyMania and British rose and I cannot decide which one is better.. :) .. Both suit my skin as well as my mood .. :)
