Today I will be reviewing the ORIFLAME Pure Nature , Purifying Face Cream (Tea Tree & Rosemary Oil). Before I start , let me help you know me and my skin type better .. 

I have the kind of skin that needs  a lot of attention and care .. and if I try to escape the end result is as always breakouts , zits, acne , blemishes etc etc .. I have oily to combination skin where my T-zone is oily and if you have been following my blogs then you must be already aware that I had been struggling with acne and its after effects. Now , when I say after effects , it refers to the dark spots and pigmentation that every zit leaves behind as a sad memory of acne existence ! ..

So I have been trying on few products to get an even tone and reduce the pigmentation here and there .. I was willing to try TheBodyShop (TBS) products initially but kind of backed off after seeing the price tag.My search for an apt product ended with

This is basically a very light , non-greasy day and night face cream with goodness of tea tree oil and rosemary oil , it helps to re-balance the oily skin , fights blemishes and helps to soften the skin , specially made for oily to combination skin types.. 
Here "purifying" refers to the process of making the skin more pure and radiant by regular usage. It is meant for oily acne prone skin and reduces spots and pigmentation.For further details please keep on reading .. !

Which Brand is it ?? : 

 Oriflame is a Swedish based company selling nature-inspired, innovative beauty products direct in more than 60 countries. It does not have pure tea tree oil based cream , but a variant of mixed oils consisting of tea tree and rosemary oil , which is light on skin.

How does it Look and Smell like ?: 

• This comes in a small white colored tumbler with a screw cap.
• Initially when you open it up for the first time , it is sealed with an aluminium cover , which you can peel off .
• The cream is very light green colored , non sticky textured.
• It's consistency is light and non-greasy.
• Penetrates and gets absorbed in the skin easily.
• If you feel some tingling sensation , do not worry its just the tea tree oil working on your skin.The tingling is mild and will fade away.
• The fragrance is nice and mild.
• Gives a cooling effect on the skin and helps calm the acne.It reduces the redness of the skin too.
• It also acts like a primer to be a perfect base for your foundation.

 How to Use this Product? :

I usually start off with cleaning my face with a face wash , followed by a toner of the same range , then take steam with few drops of the tea tree oil in a steamer , pat dry my face and then apply the face cream (You may skip the steam part , but try to follow the face wash and toner part). Take a very small amount , not more than a pea size amount on your palm and apply on your face in small upward circular motions.Remember to avoid downward strokes else it will make your skin saggy and increase wrinkles in the long run , so always try to do small circular upward motions to make your skin tight and firm.A small quantity of the cream spreads evenly on the skin.
I usually prefer using it as the first cream in my skin routine , followed by other products like sunscreen on top.

My Experience with this face cream : 

I have been using this cream as day and night cream , for the past 3 months now and the tumbler is almost empty , that's why I thought that it was the right time to talk about this product and review it.

This cream actually works, if used religiously.The aim of it is reducing the dark spots and making the skin more purer and it does that job well.After using for about 1 and a half month I started noticing that the patchy areas seemed more toned and the dark spots had reduced.The cream is very light and absorbs really quick even on the huge acne bumps.

It does not moisturize my skin so well , but I was anyways not using this as moisturizer.If you are on a look out for something to work on blemishes/pigmented skin then this one is the right choice to try out.

How much does it Cost? !! :

75gm is for INR 379/- and it is available at Oriflame (You can check with Oriflame consultant) and on Amazon

What Did I like about this product ?:

• Its a very light weight , Hydrating , non-greasy face cream.
• It helped me in reducing the dark spots , blemishes , redness and get even tone.
• It has goodness of tea tree and rosemary oil.
• Gets absorbed well.
• Fragrance is mild.
• Suitable for oily to combination skin.
• Can be used as hair serum / leave in conditioner when used in small quantities.
• Relatively less pricey as other similar products available in teh market.

What did I dislike about this product?:

• It's not travel friendly , since its a tumbler , the product flows here and there if the lid is not tightly closed.
• Putting your finger in the tumbler to take the product out is not hygienic (specially for acne prone skin) so you need to use a spatula for each and every usage.
• It gives mild tingles , some may find that irritating.
• If you are someone who has very sensitive skin , then I suggest doing a patch test on you skin first.

Final Take & Rating !! : 

I think it was a good experience using this cream , it helped me with most of the problematic areas and best part was there were no new breakouts on my skin.I think its a good face cream to start the "fixing" process of your skin at initial phases and later on you can move on to some higher end products for re-balancing your skin.

Rating would be : 4/5 (-1 for bad packaging)

My latest pick from the random grocery items was this L'oreal Paris 6 oil Nourish Extraordinary oil.. Ya a very heavy name indeed.. But does it really give that Extraordinary Nourishment too ??? .. Keep on reading to find out more .. :P

How does it Look and Smell like ?: 

• This comes in a magnificent glass bottle with a golden screw cap.
• It has a small white colored nozzle to get the product out drop by drop.
• The oil is golden-ish brown in color.
• It's consistency is light and non-greasy.
• Penetrates and gets absorbed in the scalp easily.
• The fragrance is nice and flowery and is long lasting.
• It has all the required details of the product on a sticker on the glass body.
• Overall Packaging is quite magnificent for a hair oil.

 How to Use this Product? :

Apply on hair and scalp and gently massage before washing off. Can also be applied as a finishing touch.

I also applied and kept it overnight as it is light and non-greasy it doesn't patch the pillow , however the result was pretty much same as keeping it for 1 hour before washing off.

Sometimes I use it more as a Leave in conditioner right after hair wash on wet hair rather than using prior hair wash as this helps keep my hair more manageable and frizz free and curls are more defined and shiny.

My Experience with this hair oil : 

I understood the science behind the right quantity with this product !! ..If u take too less .. it acts like a leave-in conditioner cum serum and if u use abundantly it acts like a hair oil and does make the hair little greasy.. so the right quantity matters ! 

Like any other hair oil ,I took some quantity on my hands and applied it on my scalp and hair tips and starting rubbing through in small circular motion.The oil seemed very light and non-greasy.I had little difficult to figure out as to how much quantity I would need as my hair is a sucker for moisturizers.I ended up using nearly 1/4th of the bottle in a single time application.I rinsed my hair with shampoo and followed by conditioner and the results were good enough , not extraordinary but results were good enough.

My curls seemed more managed , frizz free and were seemed shiny , but then I cannot give the credits to the oil alone for that result as my conditioner is as hydrating as well.

Later in the next applications , I used this oil to give a finishing touch instead of using it as prior shampoo oil and the results were so much better.It gave shine to my hair and tamed frizz , curls were more defined and small quantity was sufficient.But again it all depends on the quantity of the product you take , that will come with use over a period of time.

So basically I realized that for my hair type (dry , thick and hefty curly) hair its better to opt this hair oil as "leave-in" rather than using it for scalp massage as I need it in abundance.

How much does it Cost? !! :

100ml is for Rs 190/- and it is available at Amazon and in common grocery stores.

What Did I like about this product ?:

• Its a very light weight , Hydrating , non-greasy hair oil
• It helped me in reducing the frizz ,defining curls , specially the dry hair tips.
• It has goodness of 6 oils , which is quite unique for a product.
• Gets absorbed well.
• Packaging is luxurious and adds that swag to your stash.
• Comes in with a neat nozzle for drop vise product release.
• Fragrance is floral and long lasting.
• Suitable for all hair types.
• Can be used as hair serum / leave in conditioner when used in small quantities.

What did I dislike about this product?:

• It's not travel friendly , the glass bottle is heavier and fragile to carry.
• It's a little pricey for 100 ml. And 1 bottle lasts only for 4-5 applications (if used as regular hair oil prior to hair wash)

Final Take & Rating !! : 

Overall  I liked it more as a leave in conditioner rather than a regular hair oil ,absorbs well in the skin, is hydrating , Easily available and a good product to give it a try as it has goodness of 6 different oils.
Rating would be 3.5/5 !

• It has a simple but elegant sticker on its body with details mentioned about the product.
• It has a very creamy textured and absorbs easily into skin with gentle rub.
• It doesn't leave  a white cast on the skin , it simply vanishes as soon as I rub it in.
• It gives a very nice and smooth feel on the skin.
• It is very hydrating and I use it generously on my hands and legs on everyday basis.The hydration lasts for good 5-6 hours mostly.
• It has a mild sweet fragrance , typically honey and oatmeal fragrance , some may find it like some cough syrup smell :P.. The fragrance doesn't last for more than say 1 hour and fades away in a while.
• They are travel friendly , fit in easily in a purse or bag ,No inconvenience faced so far while carrying them during travelling .

Pump out the desired amount of product and rub it in , it gets absorbed into the skin really quick.You can use it on entire body.

What Did I like about this product ?:

• Its a very light weight , Hydrating , mild fragrance moisturizing lotion .
• It has helped me in reducing the dry , patchy areas of my skin , especially near elbows.
• It has goodness of honey and oat meals which has multiple benefits for the skin.
• Gets absorbed well with no white cast at all.
• Packaging is neat ,convenient.
• Pump system makes it hygienic.
• Travel friendly packaging.
• Nice Variants available in moisturizers.

What did I dislike about this product?:

• It's fragrance is more like medical cough syrup , so might irritate some.
• It's a little pricey for 200ml.

Final Take !! : 

Overall its a good everyday product ,absorbs well in the skin, hydrating , Easily available and hassle free usage.

Not too much analysis needed here as its a basic talcum powder .. but I really like using it .. so thought it will be unfair not to mention it .. So lets jump right into the review.. !!

• The texture of the powder is finer than other talcum available , others are a bit coarser .. this one is fine .. very fine.
• It doesn't leave  a white cast on the skin , it simply vanishes as soon as I rub it in.
• It gives a very nice and smooth feel on the skin.
• Both have mild fragrance , the fragrance is very girly , floral and lasts for not more than say 1 -2 hours and fades in a while.
• They are travel friendly , fit in easily in a purse or bag ,No inconvenience faced so far while carrying them during travelling .

• Simple .. just like any other talc.. Take a generous amount depending on your requirement and apply evenly on your body.I even use it on my face at times.
• The quantity needed is less as it spreads evenly without any evident white layer or patches.

• 75g is for Rs 75/-

What Did I like about this product ?:

• Its a very light weight , fine talcum with mild and fresh fragrance .I like the Charming variant better,just a personal choice.
• It has helped me in reducing the greasiness on my skin and its good for everyday talc.
• Gets absorbed well with no white cast at all.
• It gets absorbed in the skin easily.
• Packaging is neat ,convenient and hygienic.
• Value for money.
• Travel friendly packaging.
• Nice Variants.

What did I dislike about this product?:

Not anything in particular that I can think of.

Final Take !! : 

Overall its a good everyday affordable product , Easily available and hassle free usage.

I cannot tell you guys enough .. How Important sunscreen is .. !!

I know that the general opinion and take on sunscreens is that they makes the skin feel heavy and sticky and leave a white cast and shiny nose ..and you end up looking like a white ghost .. !!

But ..despite all of these complaints ..  Sunscreens are still One of the Must Haves in daily skin care routine , for a plain and simple fact.. that it helps and protects your skin from harsh UV rays which are capable of potential damage to your skin , increase pigmentation , darken spots ,freckles, white spots ,tan your skin. and even skin cancer...

There is one and only one solution to all of these issues related to a sunscreen .. and that narrows down to finding and using the right sunscreen which is light and non sticky and doesn't make your nose shine ! ..and I think I found that one for my skin type.. !

So I stepped into a fabindia store near by my house and tried a tester of the Fabindia Vitamin E Sunscreen SPF 30 and SPF45 cream .. the packaging looked decent and the cream felt non-greasy .. and I decided to give it a try.. Now I have oily to combination skin where in my T Zone area is oily and rest is normal to dry , so I always wanted to go with something that will provide me that balance.

• They are travel friendly , fit in easily in a purse or bag ,No inconvenience faced so far while carrying them during travelling .
• Since you need to squeeze the product out it is hygienic and convenient too.
• The cream texture is creamy and non-greasy and spreads evenly on skin without leaving any white patches.
• Both have mild fragrance which fades in a while.

• The quantity needed is less as it spreads evenly without any white patchy appearance.
• I usually use a moisturizer prior to using the sunscreen,but you can skip the moisturizer .

How much does it Cost !! :

Fabindia Vitamin E Sunscreen SPF 30 variant is  priced at Rs 350 /- for 120 ml.. and Fabindia Vitamin E Sunscreen SPF 45 is priced at 390 for 120 ml respectively.

What Did I like about this product

• Its a very light sunscreen with mild and fresh fragrance .
• It has helped me in reducing the tanning and regain my natural complexion eventually.
• Its no-greasy .. so no more shiny nose ! .. Idealistic for normal to oily skin.
• It does not leave a white patchy appearance or layer which is the most required feature for me as the one's which leave a white cast turn me off completely.
• It gives a good base on make-up.
• It didn't break me out , no pimples or acne aggravated on using this.
• It gets absorbed in the skin easily.It hydrates the skin with right amount and is good for combination skin.
• Packaging is neat ,convenient and hygienic.
• Value for money.
• Travel friendly packaging.
• Nice Variants.

What did I dislike about this product :

• It's not water resistant.
• Not completely organic as I would have preferred.

    

Rating and Final Take !! : 

I think I am more than satisfied with this one  .. Rating is : 5 / 5 

Fabindia is one of my most trusted brands and I will continue using this one till I get a better one in hand :) ..Its also value for money and the quantity is sufficient to last for 2 months (when I use it on my face,neck and hands)

BBlunt High Definition Curl...Curl - Defining Leave in Conditioner - Product Review

Curls are so "in" these days .. have always been and will always be .. !

But with curls comes a lot of issues of maintaining them .. setting them .. getting rid of the frizz , getting the comb in and out and brushing your curls in the morning is a nightmare for some (including me ! :P) .. • It is amazingly cute in packaging Bright Fuchsia Pink ! 
• Very attractive shaped bottle.
• Tick,Creamy,White non-sticky texture.
• Packaging is Stylish to look at and it smells great .
• The packaging has colors in accordance to the variant they represent.
• The product name is mentioned in bold letters and logo and a cute little curly hair girl graphic is made on the body.
• It has a nozzle with a lock system.
• The fragrance lingers around for almost 2 hours and then fades out.But it smells Good !

How to Use this product? :

I use this product on damp hair after shampoo and conditioner .I squeeze extra water off by using a washed old t-shirt as it less harsh on the hair and helps to decrease frizz.I comb my hair once , sometimes use livon or some hair serum to release the knots and I take about 3-4 pumps of the product as it is sufficient  for my hair length.You can use more pumps of product according to your hair length.Apply from root to tip , scrunch it in and let it either dry naturally or use a diffuser for firmer and prominent curls..I I let my hair dry naturally .. and that's it !

How much does it Cost !! :

Its priced at Rs 550 /- for 150 ml.You could find the product at most of the common shopping websites like Nykaa, Snapdeal , ebay, Purple and many more.

What Did I like about this product

• It does it's basic job well .. ! Its meant to provide high definition curls and it does that well .It holds the curls till the next hair wash.Also tames frizz.
• Its quiet hydrating , didn't feel any dryness after using this.
• It comes with a pump nozzle to fetch the product with ease and its hygienic.
• The leave in conditioner is like any other leave in conditioner with thick,creamy non-greasy texture.
• It does not make hair greasy or oily , nor does it make it dry.
• For my hair , 3 pumps is enough for entire hair , I prefer using less of this product because it makes my curls tighter than I prefer them to be.Since only 3 pumps is enough, it lasts for almost 6 months or so.
• Its fragrance is subtle and lasts for 2 hours and then fades out.
• Packaging is cute and lively.
• Comes with a lock nozzle , so its travel friendly.
• Decent and sturdy packaging.
• Nice Variants available for all hair types. 

What did I dislike about this product :

• Its a little expensive for 150 ml , but since I need less quantity it lasts long.
• It has more chemicals and mostly no natural ingredients ,so not such an healthy option for long run.
• If I happen to use more than 3 pumps of product for my hair , the curls become very tight and becomes little difficult to free them.

I think I am quiet satisfied with this one ! .. Rating is : 4 / 5 

I have always been hunting for products or ways to tame my wild curls and this product comes as a relief .. It definitely defines my curls and keps my hair frizz free.

The hydration lasts long and the curls survive till next hair wash .. A little product goes a long way !

My final word about this product is , it really does its job well , great variants available for all hair types,and value for money !
