Today's blog is yet another addition to the #WinterSeriesProducts.. 

As "Winter is Coming" .. I am literally craving over products that help to hydrate my skin.I have combination skin which is normal to oily .. But during winters my skin leans towards dry side and I need to apply little heavier moisturizer like body butters or so .

Today I am going to review one of the Body Butters from one of my favorite brands "The BodyShop" (TBS in short).

I am a huge fan of TBS products and recently I got myself Cocoa body butter and I felt this is the right time for me to use and review it ..

Which Brand is it ?? : 

The Body Shop is an iconic British retail brand with an extensive and growing global presence.They make naturally inspired products dedicated to enriching people as well as the planet, working fairly with farmers and suppliers and helping communities thrive through its Community Trade program. The Body Shop has never tested any of its ingredients or products on animals and never will. Their product quality is world famous and very pure and organic.

The product claims : This super-rich and creamy Body Butter is a feast for the skin. It melts straight in to leave skin feeling soft and smooth. It contains Community Trade cocoa butter and has a sweet cocoa scent.

• Great for dry skin
• Sweet Cocoa scent

How does it Look and smell like ?:
Packaging:

• Packaging is simple .. It comes in a "cocoa color" (light brown) colored plastic tub /Tumbler with a screw cap.
• The moment you open the lid, you will get a gust of cocoa fragrance which seems as pure as coffee or rather chocolaty-coffee . And you would notice a very thick creamy consistency of the body butter. The consistency is not at all runny. It's rich , it's soft , it's butter like and it literally melts on the skin.
• The variant details are mentioned onto the tub in silver and other relevant details are provided including the product description, directions to use, price details, ingredients etc.
• Packaging is very sturdy and is travel friendly.

Texture & Fragrance:

• Cocoa Body Butter is very thick and creamy and It absorbs right into the skin just like how butter melts down.
• It's color is light brown due to the natural ingredients present.
• It spreads evenly and gets absorbed in no time.
• It is little greasy and heavy as it is highly hydrating and it is majorly for dry skin.
• The product claims 24 hour hydration, I usually apply it at night before I go to sleep so as the body butter works on my skin overnight and I wake up with soft and smooth skin .. so I can say that the hydration definitely ranges for more than 12 hours.
• As the name suggests , the fragrance is exactly as Cocoa .. :) and the fragrance is long lasting as well.

 How I like to use this :

I keep the product on my bedside table as I prefer using it most during bedtime. Using it is extremely simple, just open the lid and take some body butter with a spatula or dig in your fingers if you are too lazy to use a spatula .. and apply on your skin (usually hands and legs).I would not recommend using this on your face as it may give you breakouts.

I usually apply this just before I go to sleep at night, as I know that body butters are more towards creamier, thick and heavy texture making them greasy and attract more dust on my skin, so it's best to use the body butter at night and let the body butter work on my skin while I sleep peacefully. 

I wake up with amazingly soft and smooth skin in the morning. The cocoa fragrance lingers for a very long time and it's very very refreshing. During daytime I usually apply this on my legs right after the bath as my skin tends to dry and become stretchy after I take a bath. So, this is how I use my body butter to get rid of all that stretchy skin during winters.

What Did I like about this product ?:

• I am in love with the texture and quality and end result of this product.
• The body butter is very soft , thick , creamy .. just like butter . It simply melts down on the skin on application making my skin so soft and smooth.
• The fragrance is very natural , refreshing & long lasting too.
• It claims 24 hour hydration and it actually does that ..Applied once in a day is sufficient for the whole day if you have normal skin .People with dry skin may need reapplication in like a gap of say 9 hours or so.
• It has goodness of shea butter with cocoa seed butter in it.It's ingredients are natural and organic.
• Each tumbler of TBS body butter almost lasts me for more than 6 months in other seasons except for winters.During winters it lasts me for 2 months, so you get enough quantity with amazing quality for the price you pay.
• Packaging is sturdy and travel friendly.                                         
• Several other Body Butter variants are available almost for all skin types.
• Good for everyday use , especially during winters.
• Idealistic for dry to normal skin
• More suitable for winter season.

What did I dislike about this product:

• Sometimes tumbler / tub packaging is unhygienic as we need to dig in our fingers to dispense the product , however this is a body butter so I cannot expect them to provide it in a tube or something ..so I guess I just have to live with it ...:) 
• For those having sensitive noses , you may be little bothered by the fragrance.
• It's little bit on the pricier side.But after using their products and seeing the difference in my skin I have come to a conclusion that this is just another investment for a better skin care routine.
• It's idealistic for dry to normal skin ..so it's a little bit greasy and attracts dust.

Recommended to use ?? 

Yes , I certainly recommend it to use , in fact I already bought like 3 other variants as I am so impressed with the quality of the product.Once you get used to using this product it becomes very difficult to switch to any other body butter so TBS products are kind of addictive.

A fragrance lover can never get over blogging about any fragrance that they come across , it's an addiction and I have no shame in admitting that I am an addict :P 

Today I will be reviewing one of the fragrances that I was mesmerized by. It is by Yardley- Yardley London English Lavender - Eau De Toilette.

 Product Description : 

What does the Product Claim:

A beautifully fresh, clean elegant fragrance combining Bergamot and cCary sage with a heart of English Lavender, eucalyptus, geranium, jasmine, chamomile and violet, enhanced with deeper, warm notes of wood, vanilla and patchouli.

Spray lightly onto your pulse points in the morning after Bath and refresh throughout the day with our body sprays.

Top Notes: Bergamot and Clary Sage.

Heart Notes: English Lavender, Eucalyptus, Geranium, Jasmine, Chamomile and Violet.

Base Notes: Wood, Vanilla and Patchouli.

Packaging :

• It comes in a beautiful see through glass bottle with a golden colored metallic cap and simple spray nozzle to dispense the product.
• The bottle has a Yardley sticker with Lavender print on the front of the glass bottle which makes the overall packaging look pretty and feminine.
• The bottle does not contain any product information. For that you will have to keep the outer cardboard packaging intact with you.
• The cap is a nice and tight but the bottle is glass so it will not be very travel friendly.

My Experience with this ..! 

To start off with my experience with this EDT, the very first thing that I noticed was the packaging .. It has that element of simplicity in it .. the bottle is a no-fuss simple glass bottle slightly bent on both sides making the bottle to look little curvy and has a simple golden cap to it. The pump dispenses decent spray and few spritz are enough for 4 hours.

Coming to the fragrance, the fragrance overall is dominated by lavender of course with hints of Eucalyptus, Jasmine, Wood and Patchouli. These are the notes that I can mostly sniff when I use it. It also has other notes but the above mentioned come out prominently to me. The fragrance is not very long lasting, it lasts for 4 hours or so provided you are not roaming in hot sun or doing work outs. Also, it feels more like a fragrance of a talcum powder than a perfume.

Overall I like the fragrance as it is more of the calming fragrances and it is something I like to put when I feel indecisive and confused .. The lavender helps immensely in calming down and bring that clarity in thoughts.

What Did I like about this product ?:

• The fragrance is calming one with lavender as the most dominating fragrance.
• Packaging is simple , but not so travel friendly.
• It is affordable.
• Easily available in general stores as well as online.

What did I dislike about this product:.

• Glass bottle makes it a little unsafe to travel with.
• I wish this fragrance was more long lasting.

So as you all know that I am a huge fragrance horder and am always in hunt for new fragrances to test and try. And The Body Shop  being one of my favorite brands, I got my hands on a few of their body mists and I thought that I should definitely share my review for them, so today I am going to review the The Body Shop Moringa Body Mist.

Alcohol Denat. • It also has this sticker at the side of the bottle that has list of ingredients etc.
• The packaging overall is fuss free and travel friendly.

My Experience with this ..! 

Another Floral addition to my fragrance stash :) 

I am a sucker for floral and sticky fruity sugary fragrances , and Moringa being a floral scent I had to give it a shot :)

The Moringa variant from TBS is a Hit or Miss for many , as the fragrance is unique.. and the Moringa variant has gain popularity for its uniqueness . The fragrance is floral but not typical white floral ones .. it is somewhat different .. It has hints of white floral fragrance with sugary notes in it and overall impact boils down to the "Floral" category. 

Moringa is basically found in the foot hills of Himalayas and now it is grown worldwide. Moringa leaves and tree is considered to be under the super food and that's where moringa gained its popularity. 

Coming to the packaging , the glass bottle and loosely fitted black cap makes it inappropriate for travelling but if you are someone who is careful while carrying your fragrances you wouldn't complain about that.The fragrance lasts just about decent . .mostly somewhere between 3 to 4 hours , not more than that , after that you simply have to spritz the goodness again to get the fragrance to last longer. The blend of sugary notes and floral notes makes it appropriate for day time use rather than night time. The fragrance is in between being mild and strong .. it's not that overpowering but not so light either.

What Did I like about this product ?:

• Fragrance is pleasant , feminine and good for day time wear.
• Since it is not overpowering it can be used by folks with sensitive noses.
• Lasts for good 3-4 hours.
• Quite unique fragrance.

What did I dislike about this product:.

• Expensive
• Would have preferred had it been more long lasting
• Packaging with glass bottle and flimsy cap makes it difficult to travel with.

As most of you would know that The Body Shop is one of my favorite brands, in fact favorite is rather a smaller word :P 

They make the absolute best products and I will review one of those products today for you guys .. Introducing one of my favorite Shower Gel from The Body Shop - Virgin Mojito Shower Gel!! I am really excited to share my opinions about this product so let's get started with the review!!

Directions to use:

Lather up in the bath or shower using your hands or a loofah. Rinse thoroughly.

• The gel looks greenish yellow in color which gives the overall grass-ish color to the shower gel. 
• The flip cap mechanism makes the use of the product easy and hygienic.
• The gel consistency is just perfect, neither too thick nor too thin.
• The fragrance is of the shower gel is just like fresh lime and mint which lingers for like 1 hour after bath.The name explains it all .. it's truly is Virgin Mojito in a bottle :) 
• Product details are mentioned on the bottle. 
• Packaging is simple, sturdy, basic, decent, handy, travel friendly. 
• Lathers really well.

My Experience with this ..! 

I bought this shower gel to gift it to a very dear friend and when she used it and raved about it I felt the need to run to the TBS store and get myself a bottle of freshness too :) 

This shower gel variant is so true to its name. It smells exactly like Virgin Mojito .. so fresh .. so zesty .. the lemon fragrance gives you a zesty kick that is needed to feel fresh during the bath .. It lathers really well, even without a loofah, just rub the product on your wet hands and you have enough lather in no time. A walnut size amount is enough for whole body and one bottle lasts for a month if used regularly. The fragrance lingers for about an hour, after which it fades gracefully. The gel consistency is just perfect , it's neither too runny nor too thick.

The packaging is simple yet efficient as it is recyclable (I am so proud that TBS is an environment friendly brand). It is travel friendly as well. I love this one so much because it makes my everyday bath experience very relaxing and enjoyable. Also the shower gel does not strip off the natural oils from my skin, so it is not drying, specially during winters. All and all I love this product, will highly recommend using this one. There are many other variants as well to try out :)
