The Body Shop Vitamin C Daily Glow Cleansing Polish - Review

I have always been a huge fan of TBS products and me reviewing those products is nothing new now .. :P 

Sale season is ON .. and there was offer going in Lifestyle which included TBS as well so i couldn't stop myself from gifting myself some goodness :) .. I purchased 3-4 products from TBS reviews of which will be up on my blog soon.. 

Today I will be reviewing The Body Shop Vitamin C Daily Glow Cleansing Polish

Product Description :

• It comes in a squeezy tube packaging with orange and white combination that looks lively.
• It has simple black colored flip cap mechanism to dispense the product

• All relevant details regarding the product is mentioned on the tube itself.

• The polish has gel like consistency with little chunky beads ..more of microbeads .. in it which are least abrasive.
• The gel is light orangish in color.
• The fragrance is citrus like (kind of lemon - ish .. which is expected as it is Vitamin C polish and has Citrate in its ingredients) 
• it's travel friendly and sturdy.

My Take on this ..! 

Vitamin C is an essential part of a woman’s skin care regime, especially when you cross your teenage. Vitamin C products provide a greater protection against the harmful UV rays, increase the production of collagen and decrease the look of fine lines and pigmentation that are the result of ageing. It also helps in making the skin look younger and firmer, and also aids in repairing the skin cells.

When I first used this one .. I could not get over the zesty orange fragrance that lingers for a while ..A small pea size amount was enough for the entire face.. It lathers well and small microbeads give gentle exfoliation...which I did not find abrasive .. but if you are someone with sensitive or dry skin you can skip trying this product.

The ingredients seemed quite promising as it contains Amazonian Camu Camu berries which are cherry-like citrus fruit found in Amazon rainforest. Camu Camu berries are the highly documented source of vitamin C and also contain potent antioxidants, phytochemicals and amino acids.

So i took pea sized amount and warmed up the product between my fingers to produce lather , then I worked the product on my face in small circular motions and let the exfoliating beads work on my skin .It also got rid of dirt and gunk from my face making it cleaner , clearer and giving it a temporary glow.

My expectation were way higher with this one as the ingredients seemed extraordinary and vitamin c does show its effects on the skin with regular use ..However this facewash didn't live up to my expectation for the price I paid for this.Overall the experience of using this was great and I enjoyed using it but the kind of result I was hoping for didn't show up on my skin.May be I should use the complete Vitamin C range to see better results.

What Did I like about this product ?:

• 2-in-1 product with cleanser + exfoliation
• Ingredients are very promising.
• Vitamin C has various skin benefits.
• Fragrance is very fresh and clean
• Cleans the skin really well..removes excess oil and gunk
• Gives a temporary glow.
• Packaging is simple and travel friendly.

What did I dislike about this product:

• Pricey for the result you get.
• Didn't give radiance or boost to my skin.

Recommended to use ?? 

If you are ready to pay that much amount for it .. then go for it ..I will probably not repurchase this one.
