Lately I have been doing online shopping a lot ... as sometimes laziness just takes over me and I prefer getting stuff at the convenience of my comfort level .. Nykaa has been one of my most preferred sites and I keep browsing , even for casual timepass to keep myself updated with the new launches and products in the market.Nykaa has its own in-house brand and they have various products in their in house brand. I , being a nail junkie ordered 2 shades from their Matte Nail Enamels and later I regretted not buying the whole collection.

Nykaa Matte Nail Enamel Collection includes 12 beautiful shades and I will be reviewing 2 shades out of these .. they are Black Cherry Pie (Shade No.08) and White Chocolate Ganache (Shade No. 07)

How does it Look and smell like ?:

• It comes in a simple square shaped transparent glass bottle with a black colored screw cap attached with a brush to apply the nail paint.
• The nail paint shade color can be seen through the transparent bottle.
• The shade details are mentioned on the body with some other relevant details.
• Packaging is decent , simple & mess free.

Consistency:

• Consistency is neither too thick nor too thin.
• It is perfect consistency to apply with ease on the nails.
• The nailpaint glides very smoothly
• It dries up pretty fast .. that I felt was pretty cool as I didn't have to wait forever for it to dry before applying second coat.
• After it dried up .. I touched it a gazillions times as my nails felt very smooth :) 

Color Payoff :

• I noticed that it took me 2 coats to get a proper color payoff on my nails.
• The color pay off and consistency might vary from shade to shade.Like for example .. when I applied Black Cherry Pie shade , initial first coat was more like dark grape color .. second coat however gave a proper Black ..Violet-ish shade which was the expected shade .. also the consistency was little thin as compared to white nail enamel...Where as White Chocolate Ganache color came out as expected just in single coat and it felt that it was thicker consistency than the black nail paint. .. So basically the color payoff & consistency will all depend on the shade you buy.
• Fragrance .. was like any other nail paint.It would have been so interesting if they would smell similar to the shade they relate to .. like Cherries :)

There are 12 shades available in the Nykaa Matte Nail Enamels. All the shades are beautiful and everyday wear be it in office or casual.I absolutely loved this range.

 How I like to use this :

I am very regular with applying nail paint and nail art , so I usually start off with removing any previous nail paint , cut and file my nails followed by applying a nail protector having vitamin E oil benefits. Then finally I apply my nail paint . I had to apply 2 coats of Nykaa's matte nail paint as the color did not come completely with a single coat.The nail paint dries quickly and settles as complete matte and feels extremely smooth to touch.It lasted for 3 days on average when I did less work in kitchen or in water .. It started to chip off after around 3 days.

The Nykaa Matte Nail Lacquer Collection is FIVE FREE. These matte nail polish formulas are not only made without the three most common chemicals found in nail polishes (Toluene, DBP and Formaldehyde), but also without two other very dangerous chemicals (Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor).
The Nykaa Matte Collection is NOT tested on animals and contains no animal-derived ingredients.

How much does it Cost? !! :

What Did I like about this product ?:

• It glides on very smooth.
• The color payoff is good.
• Packaging is simple.
• Stays for around 3-4 days.
• It contains a UV filter that resists discoloration and offers a rich color pay-off.
• It has a decent coverage in single stroke . Two strokes makes the color plump up.
• Nice variants available to choose from.
• Good quality for the price you pay.

What did I dislike about this product:

No complaints as such .. I could only wish that the color payoff was better even with a single coat , but since it settles as matte I don't think it's a big deal breaker for me .

Recommended to use ?? 

Yes , It's freaking Matte Nail Paints ... You can certainly give it a try .. there are various color options available , so feel free to experiment !

The Body Shop British Rose Shower Gel - Product Review

Welcome back .. Hope you all are doing well.. :) 

This is my bday month and I truly believe in the mantra "Screw Peace It's my BDAY " .. hehe .. so I went on crazy shopping spree .. and I obviously had to walk into The Body Shop (TBS in short) store.. for a simple fact .. that if you have used one of the body shop products you are bound to visit back ...craving for more..So I picked up 2 shower gels (British Rose and HoneyMania ) , a body mist , tea tree face wash for blemished skin and banana shampoo .. ya and few more I needed but were out of stock :) .. Don't be surprised to see back to back TBS product reviews .. :) 

Today I am going to review British Rose Shower Gel ..  from my ever favourite brand "The BodyShop" .To know more about my experience with the shower gel .. keep on reading ..

How does it Look and smell like ?:

• It's Packaging is so cute ... The entire british rose range comes in a baby pink and black combination which is such a classy combo in itself.
• The Shower gel comes in a sturdy see through plastic bottle with a black flip cap , the pink shower gel can be seen through the bottle.It has a very beautiful rose imprinted on a label and product details mentioned too behind.
• Dispensing the product is so convenient with a small nozzle on top , which is covered by the flip cap.
• Consistency is thick as compared to other shower gels by TBS , it's not at all runny at all.texture is Gel like.
• A small amount of shower gel is enough for the entire body as it lathers well.So one bottle will last for 2-3 months.
• It never leaves my skin dry , so I can very well use it during Winter season , so my current obsession is with this shower gel.
• Fragrance is so pleasant and mild , exactly of fresh roses, it doesn't last long and lingers for less time so sensitive noses will love using this.But the fragrance is so captivating that it keeps me in the shower for a longer time :) .. I basically have started enjoying my bath after indulging myself in this shower gel.
• Packaging is very sturdy and is travel friendly.

Variants Available:

There are several other shower gels available in TBS which would cater to all skin types.You will never be bored as you will enjoy a wide range of products to try out.Buy a couple of shower gels and keep switching :) 

 How I like to use this :

Shower Gels are most convenient to use .. And they bring out the best bathing experience .

I mostly  prefer using a loofah when I am using shower gel as it makes lathering easier.However this shower gel has been an exception..It just lathers by simply rubbing the product on wet hands .. So basically I would take some amount of shower gel on my wet palms .. rub it to generate lather and apply throughout .. and wash it away under the shower .. Sometimes use loofah instead.. It cleanses the body well and is non-drying , so overall it is a pleasant experience.

How much does it Cost? !! :

It costs for Rs 450 for 250 ml..  

What Did I like about this product ?:

• I am in love with the texture and quality of this gel.
• Packaging is cute , sturdy and travel friendly.
• It leaves my skin soft and does not rip off the moisture.
• Fragrance is mild ,pleasant and helps in relaxing.
• Ingredients are more natural and organic.
• Less Quantity needed , so 250 ml is sufficient to last for 2-3 months.
• Several other variants are available almost for all skin types.
• Good for everyday use , especially during winters as it is non-drying.

What did I dislike about this product:

Little pricey , but again .. For the experience and quality you get I feel it's an investment for a better skin routine. No other dislikes as such .

Recommended to use ?? 

Yes , yes Yes !! 

I certainly recommend it to use , in fact I already bought other variants as I am so impressed with the quality of the product.I am currently toggling between HoneyMania and British rose and I cannot decide which one is better.. :) .. Both suit my skin as well as my mood .. :)

Today's blog is yet another addition to the #WinterSeriesProducts.. 

As "Winter is Coming " .. I am literally craving over products that help to hydrate my skin.I have combination skin which is normal to oily .. But during winters my skin leans towards dry side and I need to apply little heavier moisturisers like body butters or so .

Today I am going to review one of the Body Butters from one of my favourite brands "The BodyShop" (TBS in short).

One of my dear friends had introduced me to TBS products by gifting me Strawberry body butter and I felt this is the right time for me to use and review it ..

• Packaging is simple .. It comes in a "strawberry color" (dark pink to reddish) colored plastic tub /tumbler with a screw cap.
• The moment you open the lid , you will get a gust of strawberry fragrance which seems as pure as the real fruit.And you would notice a very thick creamy consistency of the body butter.The consistency is not at all runny. 
• The variant details are mentioned onto the tub in silver and other relevant details are provided including the product description , directions to use , price details , ingredients etc.
• Packaging is very sturdy and is travel friendly.

Texture & Fragrance:

The Body Shop - Strawberry Body Butter - Price & Texture

• Strawberry body butter is very thick and creamy and It absorbs right into the skin just like how butter melts down.
• It's color is light baby pink due to the natural ingredients present.
• It spreads evenly and gets absorbed in no time.
• It is little greasy and heavy as it is highly hydrating and it is majorly for dry to normal skin.
• The product claims 24 hour hydration , I usually apply it night before I go to sleep so as the body butter works on my skin overnight and I wake up with soft and smooth skin.. so I can say that the hydration definitely ranges for more than 12 hours.
• As the name suggests , the fragrance is exactly as Strawberries .. :) and the fragrance is long lasting as well.

 How I like to use this :

I keep the strawberry body butter on my bedside table as I prefer using it most during bedtime.Using it is extremely simple , just open the lid and take some body butter with a spatula or dig in your fingers if you are too lazy to use a spatula .. and apply on your skin (usually hands and legs).

I usually apply this just before I go to sleep at night , as I know that body butters are more towards creamier,thick and heavy texture making them greasy and attract more dust on my skin , so it's best to use the body butter at night and let the body butter work on my skin while I sleep peacefully.I wake up with amazingly soft and smooth skin in the morning.The strawberry fragrance lingers for a very long time and it's very refreshing.During daytime I usually apply this on my legs right after the bath as my skin tends to dry and become stretchy after I take a bath.So.. this is how I use my body butter to get rid of all that stretchy skin during winters.

What Did I like about this product ?:

• I am in love with the texture and quality and end result of this product.
• The body butter is very soft , thick , creamy .. just like butter . It simply melts down on the skin on application making my skin so soft and smooth.
• The fragrance is very natural , refreshing & long lasting too.
• It claims 24 hour hydration and it actually does that ..Applied once in a day is sufficient for the whole day if you have normal skin .People with dry skin may need reapplication in like a gap of say 9 hours or so.
• It has goodness of shea butter with cold pressed strawberry seed oil in it.It's ingredients are natural and organic.
• Each tumbler of TBS body butter almost lasts me for more than 6 months , so you get enough quantity with amazing quality for the price you pay.
• Packaging is sturdy and travel friendly.
• Several other Body Butter variants are available almost for all skin types.
• Good for everyday use , especially during winters.
• Idealistic for dry to normal skin
• More suitable for winter season.

What did I dislike about this product:

• Sometimes tumbler / tub packaging is unhygienic as we need to dig in our fingers to dispense the product , however this is a body butter so I cannot expect them to provide it in a tube or something ..so I guess I just have to live with it ...:) 
• For those having sensitive noses , you may be little bothered by the fragrance.
• It's little bit on the pricier side.But after using their products and seeing the difference in my skin I have come to a conclusion that this is just another investment for a better skin care routine.
• It's idealistic for dry to normal skin ..so it's a little bit greasy.

Recommended to use ?? 

Yes , I certainly recommend it to use , in fact I already bought like 3 other variants as I am so impressed with the quality of the product.I have already used the Shea butter and Cocoa body butter in the past , so this was just another experience with a different variant.Once you get used to using this product it becomes very difficult to switch to nay other body butter so TBS products are kind of addictive.
