Today's blog is yet another addition to the #WinterSeriesProducts.. 

As "Winter is Here" .. I am literally craving over products that help to hydrate my skin. I have combination skin which is normal to oily .. But during winters my skin leans towards dry side and I need to apply little heavier moisturizer like body creams or butters or so.

Today I am going to review Vaseline Cocoa Glow Moisturizing Cream.

Which Brand is it ?? : 

Vaseline is an American brand of petroleum jelly-based products owned by British-Dutch company Uniliver. Products include plain petroleum jelly and a selection of skin creams, soaps, lotions, cleansers and deodorants. In many languages, the work 'Vaseline' i used as generic for petroleum jelly. While Vaseline can be used as a lubricant, it can also be used as a moisture insulator for local skin conditions characterized by tissue dehydration. Vaseline has been reported to be highly-refined. triple-purified and regarded as non- carcinogenic.

How does it Look and smell like ?:
Packaging:

• Packaging is simple .. It comes in a "cocoa color" (light brown) colored plastic tub /Tumbler with a screw cap.
• The moment you open the lid, you will get a gust of cocoa fragrance which seems as pure as coffee or rather chocolaty-coffee . And you would notice a very thick creamy consistency of the body butter. The consistency is not at all runny. It's rich, it's soft , it's butter like and it literally melts on the skin.
• The variant details are mentioned onto the tub in silver and other relevant details are provided including the product description, directions to use, price details, ingredients etc.
• Packaging is very sturdy and is travel friendly.

Texture & Fragrance:

• It is very thick and creamy and it absorbs right into the skin just like how butter melts down.
• It's color is light brown due to the natural ingredients present.
• It spreads evenly and gets absorbed in no time.
• It is little greasy and heavy as it is highly hydrating and it is majorly for dry skin.
• The product claims 24 hour hydration, I usually apply it at night before I go to sleep so as the body butter works on my skin overnight and I wake up with soft and smooth skin .. so I can say that the hydration definitely ranges for more than 12 hours.
• As the name suggests , the fragrance is exactly as Cocoa .. :) and the fragrance is long lasting as well.

 How I like to use this :

I keep the product on my bedside table as I prefer using it most during bedtime. Using it is extremely simple, just open the lid and take some body butter with a spatula or dig in your fingers if you are too lazy to use a spatula .. and apply on your skin (usually hands and legs).I would not recommend using this on your face as it may give you breakouts.

I usually apply this just before I go to sleep at night, as I know that body butters are more towards creamier, thick and heavy texture making them greasy and attract more dust on my skin, so it's best to use the body butter at night and let the body butter work on my skin while I sleep peacefully. 

I wake up with amazingly soft and smooth skin in the morning. The cocoa fragrance lingers for a very long time and it's very very refreshing. During daytime I usually apply this on my legs right after the bath as my skin tends to dry and become stretchy after I take a bath. So, this is how I use my body butter to get rid of all that stretchy skin during winters.

What Did I like about this product ?:

• I am in love with the texture and quality and end result of this product.
• It is very soft, thick, creamy .. just like butter . It simply melts down on the skin on application making my skin so soft and smooth.
• The fragrance is very natural , refreshing & long lasting too.
• It claims 24 hour hydration and it actually does that ..Applied once in a day is sufficient for the whole day if you have normal skin .People with dry skin may need reapplication in like a gap of say 9 hours or so.
• Each tumbler of such creams almost lasts me for more than 6 months in other seasons except for winters. During winters it lasts me for 2 months, so you get enough quantity with amazing quality for the price you pay.
• Packaging is sturdy and travel friendly.                                        
• Good for everyday use, especially during winters.
• Idealistic for dry to normal skin
• More suitable for winter season.

What did I dislike about this product:

• Sometimes tumbler / tub packaging is unhygienic as we need to dig in our fingers to dispense the product. 
• For those having sensitive noses, you may be little bothered by the fragrance.
• It's idealistic for dry to normal skin ..so it's a little bit greasy and attracts dust.

Recommended to use ?? 

Yes , I certainly recommend it to use , in fact I already bought like a couple of other variants as I am so impressed with the quality of the product.
